Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Cairo
Arrive at Cairo airport and transfer to hotel. Meet tour coordinator for welcome briefing. Overnight: Cairo
Day 2: Cairo Tour - Giza Pyramids, Memphis and Sakkara (B)
After breakfast, begin full day sightseeing tour of Cairo. First visit Giza Plateau, located in the west bank of Nile, facing Cairo. Cheops, Chepren and Mycerinus are the three pyramids we will see in this plateau and their guardian Sphinx, the lion body human head mythical statue. Later drive into the desert and to the very edge of ancient Egyptian history, to the land of the very first pyramids and visit Memphis and Sakkara. Return to hotel. Overnight: Cairo
Day 3: Cairo – Luxor - East Bank (B)
Early morning we will be transferred to Cairo airport for our flight to Luxor. Upon arrival we will be transferred to our hotel to check-in. After lunch time begin the tour in the enchanted Luxor, considered the greatest open air museum in the world. Cross the river to the eastern bank of Nile to see the temple of Karnak and Luxor. After tour return to the hotel. Overnight: Luxor
Day 4: Luxor - West Bank (B)
After breakfast we'll begin the full day tour of West bank Luxor. We'll visit the Valley of Kings, Valley of Queens, Hatshepsut, Memnon, Habu, Ramseum & El Madina Monastery. Overnight in Luxor.
Day 5: Edfu – Kom Ombo – Aswan (B)
Today we'll drive from Luxor to Aswan. En route we'll visit the Edfu Temple, located in the west bank of Nile and dedicated to god Horus, the falcon god. Then to Kom Ombo to visit the temple that was built in Ptolemaic Roman era for the worship of god Haroeris and Sobek, the crocodile god. Arrive Aswan for overnight.
Day 6: Aswan (B)
After breakfast visit the remarkable Aswan Dam, considered as one of the outstanding architectural achievements of the 20th Century. Then visit the Philae Temple, which was dedicated to goddess Isis. Last stop will be the Unfinished obelisk. Overnight Aswan.
Day 7: Aswan – Nubian Village - Abu Simbel - Cairo (B)
After breakfast we'll visit the Nubian Village and Soheil Island via fellucas (traditional boats). The village is a typical Nubian village with Nubian life style, the Nubians still live there with Nubian decoration and visitors are invited for cup of tea in one of the Nubian houses. Clients who booked optional Abu Simbel tour will take the flight to Abu Simbel to see the magnificent temples of Ramses II and Nefertiti; fly back to Cairo via Aswan. If you don’t take the optional tour you’ll fly to Cairo after Nubian Village tour, you’ll be transferred to your hotel and will have free time in the afternoon. Overnight: Cairo
Day 8: Optional: Egyptian Museum - Citadel, Mosques and Bazaar tour (B)
Free day or optional: Egyptian Museum & Citadel, Mosques, Bazaar tours. From Pharaonic treasures to the historical icons of Egypt’s Islamic past, this day tour offers a variety of interests guaranteed to suit all. Make sure to carry extra cash for bagging a bargain at the Khan ElKhalili souk at the end of the day. Overnight: Cairo!
Day 9: Cairo - Departure (B)
Transfer to Cairo airport for flight back home. Thank you for visiting Egypt!
