Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Greeting at Mohamed V airport, assistance & transfer to your hotel in Casablanca. Overnight: Casablanca

Day 2: Casablanca- Rabat - Tangier (B)

Visit of the economic capital of Morocco: the Mohamed V square, the residential area of Anfa and the exterior of the impressive Hassan II Mosque. Continuation to Rabat, visit of Palais Royale , the Hassan Tower, the Mohamed V mausoleum & the Oudaya Kasbah. Travel to Tangier for overnight.

Day 3: Tangier - Chefchaouen - Fez (B)

Breakfast at the hotel, orientation tour of Tangier and departure to Chaouen a beautiful blue and white-washed Andalucian town nestled in the Rif Mountains. Enjoy a walking tour through Chefchaouen’s cobbled medina, absorbing the Moorish and Spanish atmosphere. Departure to Fez for overnight.

Day 4: Fez (B)

After breakfast, we will begin our full day sightseeing tour of Fez, the most ancient city of the Imperials, founded by Idris I (789) and his son Moulay Idris II (810). We will visit the medieval Medina with its Medersas (religious Islamic universities) Attarine the Nejjarine fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque. After lunch break we will continue to Fez Jdid (new Fez), and return to our hotel. Overnight: Fez

Day 5: Fez / Midelt / Erfoud / Merzouga (B, D) (450 km)

After breakfast, we will depart to Erfoud driving through the gorgeous mountains and cedar woods that give way to volcanic mountains of Middle Atlas. On our way for lunch in Midelt, we will pass by Ifrane, the Swiss-style village, and Azrou, an important handicraft center. After lunch break we will drive to Merzouga via Erfoud. Accommodation at a desert camp in a tent. Overnight: Merzouga

Day 6: Erfoud / Rissani / Tinghir / Ouarzazate (B) (390 km)

Early morning, you can walk over the sands of Merzouga Dune to enjoy the sunrise. Back to the bivouac for breakfast and continue to Rissani, the holy city where Moulay Ali Cherif, ancestor of the Alaouite dynasty is buried. Visit of the Kasbah of the 17th century and the Ksar Abbar ruins, and drive to Tinghir via the Tinjdad road. Visit the magnificent Todgha canyons which rocks reach and altitude of 250 meters. Lunch at a restaurant situated at the feet of the canyons and departure to the Dades canyons for a visit and then continuation to Ouarzazate via the road of the thousand Kasbahs and the Dades valley famous for its roses and the yearly Moussem (rose Feztival). Visit of the Kasbah of Taourirt. Dinner & overnight in Ouarzazate

Day 7: Ouarzazate / Marrakech (B) (230 km)

Visit of the Kasbahs of Taouirt Tiffeltout and Ait Benhaddou, the most spectacular fortress in the south of Morocco, which has served as decor for many films like "Laurence of Arabia". Lunch at the terrace of the restaurant facing the Kasbah. Departures to Marrakech via the Tichka pass offering an impressive landscape in the heart of the Atlas mountain chain. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel. Overnight: Marrakech

Day 8: Marrakech (B)

Visit of historical Marrakesh famous by its beautiful palaces and monuments: the Bahia Palace, the Koutoubia Minaret and Menara Gardens. Afternoon: Explore Secret Garden; Rebuilt in the mid-19th century by an influential Caïd of Atlas. Complete our sightseeing with a stop at the famous Jamaa El Fna Square with its surrounding souks and handicraft quarters. Overnight: Marrakech Optional: Fantasia Dinner

Day 9: Marrakech (B)

Transfer to Marrakech airport for flight back home. Thank you for visiting Morocco!
